私は会社と自宅でほぼ常時Writelyを開いてメモ帳代わりに使ってるけど、ウェブサービスなので会社と自宅でいちいち同期しなくていいし、自動的に保存してくれるし、編集の履歴も残るし、ブログに投稿できるし、ウェブページとして公開できるし、他の人とも共同で編集できるし、書き出すファイル形式も HTML、OpenOffice、Word、PDF、リッチテキストと一通り揃ってるしですんごい便利。

ところで、いまやメールは完全にGmailでやり取りし、簡単な家計簿もgoogle.spreadsheetでつけていて、仕事のシフトを含んだ予定表もgoogle.calendarで管理してる。ただ、これだけ一箇所に依存していると何かあったときに怖い。メールは別のアカウントで保存して転送してるのでバックアップがあるけど、 Writely、google.spreadsheet、google.calendarはいちいち各ファイルをローカルに保存するしかバックアップの手段が無い。まぁ自分のMacのハードディスクよりはgoogleのディスクシステムのほうがよっぽど信頼性があるとは思うけどね。
